About the role:

A fast-paced role, playing an important part of the Front Door team for Powys Children’s Services, assessing children and families’ needs for advice, information and assistance inline with the requirements of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act (and other legislation), the Wales Safeguarding Procedures, the CYSUR threshold and guidance documents, and the Local Authorities policy and guidance. Setting.

Ability to work on own initiative within a high pressured and faced paced work

An enthusiastic motivated professional worker who is committed to improving outcomes for children, young people

Good communication skills, written and verbal

Good IT skills.

Ability to organise, prioritise and manage a caseload.

Commitment to the principle of confidentiality.

What you will do:

Working at pace to swiftly conclude the Front Door element of work on referrals to Children’s Services

Enable access to Social Services

Giving advice and/ or information, and assessing need to access assistance

Applying criteria to help ensure children and families access the right support at the right time

Working closely with colleagues to gather information, analysing that information to help make decisions.

Salary: Grade 12Point 33 to Point 35£44,075 to £46,142 per annum£22.84 to £23.91 per hour
