Based at the Warrington office, the role requires occasional visits to site at Sellafield, Seascale, Cumbria.

What You'll Be Doing

We’re looking for an Engineering Construction Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in the nuclear or energy sector to manage commercial activities on complex industrial projects, including energy and utilities infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale engineering construction projects such as power generation, water treatment, energy infrastructure, or nuclear decommissioning. A good understanding of NEC contracts is essential.

You will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and commercial reporting across multidisciplinary engineering projects, working closely with technical teams to manage interfaces and support successful project delivery. You will seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Typically, you will be a Chartered Member of the RICS, ICES or CIOB. You will have experience managing a small team of less experienced commercial staff and mentoring others on their journey to becoming professionally qualified, maintaining your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role is within Engineering Construction for nuclear waste processing and storage and nuclear decommissioning.

Who We're Looking For
  • Clean driving licence
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check as part of BPSS security clearance
  • Must come from an Engineering Construction background
  • Must have experience working on large scale engineering construction projects such as power, water, energy or nuclear decommissioning
  • Experience with multidisciplinary engineering projects and technical interfaces
  • Good Excel skills (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFS)
  • Ability to analyse data
  • Knowledge of and adheres to the company’s governance requirements and maximises LEAN/digital opportunities.
