Person Specification:
The Senior Process Engineer will have deep expertise in many of the following:
· Manufacturing process development and optimisation
· Wafer processing technologies (e.g. photolithography, dry/wet etching, wafer bonding)
· MEMS fabrication processes (e.g. DRIE, surface/bulk micromachining, sacrificial layer removal)
· Semiconductor manufacturing processes (e.g. PVD, CVD, sputtering, interconnect, assembly)
· Cleanroom manufacturing environments
· Data analysis tools and statistical process control (SPC)
· Leading root cause analysis and corrective action planning (e.g. 8D, FMEA)
In addition, the Senior Process Engineer will:
· Work independently with minimal supervision while mentoring others
· Influence decisions across departments and levels
· Exhibit high levels of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving capability
· Be committed to continuous learning and improvement
Experience and Qualifications
· Degree in an Engineering, Physics or related technical discipline
· Familiarity with design and process FMEA
· Knowledge of metrology tools (e.g. optical profilometry, SEM, microscopy)
· Track record of using failure analysis and statistical tools to improve process capability and reduce defects
· Demonstrated experience delivering robust processes for both new product introductions and established production lines
· Proven industry experience in wafer-level processing, MEMS or other precision microfabrication technologies
· CAD experience for process fixtures or tooling design
· Software skills in Python, MATLAB or similar for data analysis and automation
· Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training
· Background in semiconductor or optoelectronic device manufacturing
· Experience in hybrid microelectronic assembly
