Senior Power Trading Analyst - London

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power Trading Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power stack modeling, a proven ability to design forecasting models, and experience leading teams. This role involves working closely with quantitative developers to implement models in Python and ensure their accuracy and effectiveness. You will also collaborate across analytics teams, including gas, carbon, and weather teams, to provide unified market insights and actionable trading strategies.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with and lead the team of power analysts, ensuring high-quality analysis and professional growth.
  • Design and develop forecasting models to support market analysis and trading strategies.
  • Work closely with the quantitative development team to implement models in Python, ensuring they perform as intended.
  • Conduct power stack modeling to analyze market dynamics and identify trading opportunities.
  • Collaborate with gas, carbon, and weather analytics teams to align insights and provide a comprehensive market view.
  • Monitor market drivers such as supply-demand fundamentals, weather patterns, and regulatory changes.
  • Continuously improve tools and processes to enhance the accuracy and impact of market analysis.
