Job summary

A reputable care organization in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a Senior Residential Activity Worker passionate about outdoor activities and supporting youth. The role involves leading therapeutic care and outdoor adventures while mentoring junior staff. You will live onsite during your working days, enhancing the support provided to young people aged 8-18. A valid driver’s licence and NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Child Care are required. Qualifications

  • Must be over 21 and hold a full UK driver's licence.
  • Previous experience working with young people in residential, care, or activity-based settings.
  • Strong leadership skills and emotional resilience.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with young people.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Maintain a safe environment by upholding all safeguarding and health & safety standards.
  • Inspire and motivate young people through meaningful interactions.
