From this success we are now seeking to recruit a Senior Monitoring Analyst to support our growth plans and elevate the services we offer. The Senior Monitoring Analyst will work with the Compliance Department to ensure Propel meets its regulatory, legal, and governance obligations. The role focuses on day‑to‑day monitoring and quality assurance, identifying risks, ensuring controls are effective and driving improvements across the business.

Role responsibilities
Monitoring & Assurance
  • Oversee and carry out thematic monitoring reviews, file checks, and QA testing in line with the monitoring and quality assurance framework.
  • Document and elevate findings clearly, highlighting risks and recommending remedial actions.
  • Track open actions and verify closure of remedial work.
  • Lead preparation of monitoring reports for the Compliance & Monitoring Manager.
  • Maintain and enhance the monitoring framework and assist in developing the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP).
Compliance Support
  • Support colleagues with regulatory queries by providing accurate and timely information.
  • Contribute to fraud prevention activities.
Governance & Reporting
  • Manage MI reporting for internal stakeholders, collating data on monitoring activity and compliance performance.
  • Ensure monitoring documentation is maintained and up to date.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build knowledge of FCA regulations and assurance skills.
  • Support team initiatives to embed a strong culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability.
  • Provide guidance and support to Monitoring Analysts as necessary.
  • Previous experience in compliance and/or compliance monitoring activities, assurance or risk role within financial services.
  • Expert working knowledge of FCA regulation, particularly Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and DISP.
  • A‑Level qualifications or higher.
  • Proactive and inquisitive approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
