Job description

World leading supplier of manufacturing systems for large-scale aerospace, medical, and automotive companies around the world.

We are seeking a Mechanical Equipment Builder to work as part of a team to build VA Technology systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings, at our manufacturing facilities and at customer locations worldwide.

Reporting to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Construct mechanical equipment.
  • Install equipment at customer locations worldwide.
  • Perform fault finding and rectification.
  • Lead small mechanical teams.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to team members.
  • Train and develop junior fitters.
  • Manage tasks actively.
  • Navigate VA Tech software to access part drawings and material requirements.
  • Complete T&I and BQC sheets to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintain the designated build area and ensure good housekeeping.
  • Set standards and lead by example following company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety requirements.
  • Complete daily equipment check sheets and manage findings.
  • Support off-site work as needed.
  • Possess hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, assembly, and machine building.
  • Use hand and power tools proficiently.
  • MEWP & FLT qualification is advantageous; training can be provided.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects and solve problems.
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
  • Demonstrate team management experience.
Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds, ONC, or HNC qualification in Engineering discipline.
