A public sector organization in Stockport is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead projects in street lighting maintenance. Senior Engineer / Transportation Officer Street Lighting & Sign Maintenance (SO1 - SO3 (£34,443 - £45,091)) starting salary is dependent on level of experience with opportunity to progress within the range with an appropriate level of experience and training. This role is eligible for an Essential Car User allowance.

Stopford House also require to be on site carrying out inspections and arranging / overseeing work when required.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer with experience in street lighting maintenance who can also work with a GIS system. The post holder will lead the delivery of project work, planned maintenance schemes and oversee reactive maintenance activity with our contractors.
We are looking for applicants with the ability to manage a small team of 2 lighting Engineers and a Technician, with additional contract staff for the delivery of major projects. The post holder should be willing to develop their own knowledge and learn new skills in this area.
