Vertu Motors - Senior Ecommerce Marketing Manager

Location: Gateshead (Hybrid Working)

Here at Vertu Motors we are looking for a commercially focused Senior Ecommerce Marketing Manager to lead the performance and optimisation of our ecommerce platforms. In this high-impact role, you’ll combine strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery to drive revenue growth, improve marketing effectiveness, and enhance the customer journey across our digital channels.

You’ll lead a talented team, collaborate with channel specialists and external partners, and own the full ecommerce performance strategy — from acquisition and retention to onsite optimisation and product performance.

What You’ll Be Doing
Performance Management
  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs including revenue, traffic, CVR, AOV, and order volume.
  • Ensure ecommerce performance aligns with and delivers against commercial plans.
Channel Strategy & Execution
  • Lead acquisition and retention strategies across PPC, SEO, affiliates, email, and paid social.
  • Set priorities, manage budgets, and brief internal teams and agencies.
Campaign Management
  • Deliver seasonal and always-on campaigns that meet commercial objectives.
Website & Conversion Optimisation
  • Partner with UX and digital teams to enhance the user journey and improve conversion rates.
  • Lead A/B testing and implement best practice optimisation initiatives.
Content & Product Management
  • Oversee content strategy to support SEO growth.
  • Work with product teams to ensure product mix and merchandising support business goals.
Reporting & Insights
  • Lead performance reporting and stakeholder updates.
  • Use insights and data to identify opportunities and shape strategic decisions.
Budget Ownership
  • Manage and optimise budgets to drive the best balance of efficiency and revenue.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of ecommerce and channel specialists.
  • Foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive experience in ecommerce marketing management.
  • Strong knowledge of PPC, SEO, affiliates, CRM, and social channels.
  • Proven experience leading teams to achieve commercial targets.
  • Experience working with Shopify.
  • Highly analytical with strong data decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery.
