Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our infrastructure while also being hands-on with day-to-day operational tasks.

This role includes ownership of security practices across the development organization. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining high-level strategy and architecture with hands-on implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that powers Gelt’s applications, APIs, and data systems.
• Champion a DevOps culture—bridging development and operations for speed, reliability, and agility.
• Own cloud security and compliance, ensuring our systems protect both our clients and the business.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant systems that evolve with a rapidly growing product and user base.
• Drive automation and monitoring to ensure efficiency, resilience, and transparency across environments.
• Work hands-on with infrastructure tools (CI/CD, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.) while also guiding architectural decisions.
• Partner closely with product, R&D, and security teams to align infrastructure and business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related engineering roles.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proven expertise in cloud security best practices, IAM, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience scaling infrastructure for fast-growing products.
• Strong communicator who can collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience supporting AI/ML systems in production.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in fintech or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with SOC2, ISO27001, or other compliance frameworks.
• Experience with end-to-end observability tools, including monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
