Senior CRM Data Analyst • VML

Overview

VML is looking for a Senior CRM Analyst to join our Data team. The role focuses on delivering data-driven insights, improving customer experience, and supporting marketing strategy across a global portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Design, manage, and deliver end-to-end analyses to enhance customer experience.
  • Deliver measurement and effectiveness projects, including dashboard reporting and deep-dive evaluations to understand the impact of marketing on customer behaviour.
  • Lead customer projects such as segmentation and modelling, applying statistical techniques to develop a deep understanding of customers.
  • Apply relevant methodologies to measure and evaluate outcomes, proactively recommending better ways of working.
  • Produce written and verbal outputs on reports and presentations, supporting recommendations on marketing strategy.
  • Manage and resolve data quality and consistency issues.
  • Act as the client’s trusted advisor on data and analytical methodology, enabling clear business decisions.
  • Present to clients and attend client meetings.
  • Collaborate with strategy and account teams to embed data work into agency deliverables, fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making.
  • Lead and develop junior team members, building a learning culture within the team.
Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years working as an analyst or senior analyst in a marketing or related field.
  • Experience with coding languages for analysis (Python & SQL preferred).
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience developing wireframes and creating dashboards.
  • High-level Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proven record of delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage own workload autonomously and thrive in an agency environment.
  • Well-developed numeracy skills.
  • Able to translate business needs into analytical methods and outputs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level analytical skills relevant to performance analysis.
  • Experience with reporting dashboard design, update and automation using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and Looker Studio.
  • Knowledge of advanced data analysis techniques, including customer segmentation, predictive modelling, multivariate analysis, A/B testing and statistical significance.
