About The Role

The Senior Care Worker provides comprehensive care and support to the elderly at Sandbanks Resource Centre, Bedfont, Feltham. Responsibilities include medication administration, supervision of care staff, health monitoring, emotional support, documentation, reporting to the line manager, and collaboration with health professionals to ensure high standards of care for the 60 residents.

About The Team
  • Large diverse staff team.
  • Each senior is allocated a unit and a team of care workers and ancillary staff to manage.
  • Role includes duty officer shifts and backup duty officer shifts for day-to-day shift management of the home.
  • Key purpose: to ensure a high standard of care for residents.
About You

Good communication using the English language. All documentation, including care plans, incident forms, and medication records, must be clear, concise, factual, accurate, and completed in line with policies and procedures in a timely manner.

  • Skilled in technology and computer skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft).
  • Able to think clearly, process information, prioritise duties, and direct a staff team.
  • Ensure that the care of residents meets a high standard.
  • Ability to remain calm in a demanding role.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in health and social care, or actively working towards it.
  • Proven experience of managing or supervising a staff team.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
