Senior Care Assistant Nights. Longridge Hall Care Home
  • £14.95 per hour
  • 38.5 hours per week (3-4 shifts per week on a rolling rota)
  • Shift Times: 8pm-8am

At Longridge Hall, we create a comfortable and supportive environment for our residents. With features like a reminiscence lounge, a chapel, and an indoor sensory garden, we ensure that every night feels safe and homely. Our experienced Care Home Manager, Tracey, has been leading our team for over 10 years, ensuring a positive and caring atmosphere for both residents and staff.

Your Role as a Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide essential overnight support to our residents while also taking on leadership responsibilities to guide our night staff.

Your Key Responsibilities
Caring for Our Residents
  • Assisting residents with personal care, bedtime routines, and nighttime well‑being.
  • Monitoring residents during the night, offering reassurance and responding to their needs.
  • Encouraging independence while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support during quiet hours.
Leading the Night Team
  • Supervising and supporting night care staff to ensure high‑quality care.
  • Conducting appraisals, training, and mentoring colleagues.
  • Keeping accurate care records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Communicating effectively with residents’ families and healthcare professionals.
  • Assisting the Home Manager with recruitment, team development, and performance monitoring.
Maintaining a Safe & Homely Environment
  • Ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the night.
  • Adhering to care plans and health & safety guidelines.
  • Responding efficiently to emergencies.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘STREAM’.
