We’re looking for a Senior Buyer – Capital Projects. Based at our Capenhurst Site, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of capital project procurement activities for the Urenco Group with responsibility for the development of project specific procurement strategies and the execution of strategic sourcing to meet business partner requirements, maximizing value for Urenco.

Contribute to the performance of Urenco capital procurement by setting standards and developing best practice policies and procedures for capital project procurement activities.

What you’ll do:
  • Development and delivery of bespoke projects procurement strategies that meet project objectives. Maximise leverage opportunities with existing Urenco relationships, especially in relation to core process technology suppliers.
  • Select contracting methodologies and suppliers, executing contracts to deliver the objectives of major/complex capital investment projects.
  • Providing project management of the end-to-end strategic sourcing process and coordination of multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Set negotiation strategies and undertake commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and legal to ensure favourable commercial terms which mitigate business risk and achieve best business results.
  • Develop and maintain a real time view on the supply market and foster improved relationships between Urenco and key suppliers.
  • Active contribution to the ongoing development of functional capabilities to ensure value delivery is sustainable in the long term and functional effectiveness and efficiencies is improved on a continual basis.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and documentation recorded in key systems to enable compliance and adherence to policies as well as enable efficient P2P processing.
