Hybrid (3 days onsite, London) | Up to £850 a day (Inside IR35)

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in European gas and power markets to play a pivotal role in shaping real-time trading insights and supporting front-office decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and document supply and demand balances in European gas and power markets, including storage and transportation capacity
• Drive the transformation from daily snapshots to real-time fundamental balances, enabling traders to react faster to market changes
• Collaborate with trading desks to understand pre-deal problems, market behaviour, and the impact of both simple and complex instruments on strategies
• Lead stakeholder engagement and requirement elicitation across front office, strategy, operations, and technology teams
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and support delivery of solutions
• Apply technical skills to support data curation, SQL-based analysis, and version control workflows

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of supply/demand dynamics in European energy markets and their impact on trading decisions
• Knowledge of European gas market structures, storage, and transportation capacity
• Solid grasp of instruments traded in this space (both simple and complex)
