Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Build and optimize APIs, perform input validation, and implement security considerations (e.g., JWT) and queue-based architectures for scalability.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver robust server-side solutions.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, and experience in at least one other server-side language.
• Database Mastery: Proficiency with SQL (especially PostgreSQL), including query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
• Solid Grasp of OOP and Design Patterns: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, with experience in building and extending classes.
• Scalability Focus: Experience in designing systems for scalability to handle rapid growth and increasing demands.
• High-Volume Performance: Experience optimizing systems for large transaction volumes, handling concurrency and idempotency, and maintaining performance under load.
• Experience: at least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Excellent API Development: Building APIs with input validation, security considerations, and scalable architecture.

Extra Brownie Points If You

• Have FinTech experience: experience with fintech products running 24/7 on major cloud vendors.
• Familiar with Serverless Architecture: experience with serverless architectures on AWS.
