Position Details

Job Ref No. ECC2971-101 • Position Type: Early Years • Pay Range: Scale 4 (Point 7‑8) • Actual Salary: £7,739.50 - £7,862.91 (depending on qualifications and experience) • Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026 • Start Date: 23/02/2026 • Part‑time: 13 hours per week (Wednesday 8:30‑3:30 pm and Friday 8:30‑3:30 pm, term time only).

Responsibilities

As a SEND 1:1 Nursery Assistant at Kents Hill Infant Academy you will help create a safe and nurturing environment that supports a child’s development and wellbeing throughout the nursery day. You will provide caring, patient and dedicated support to children with SEND, working closely with the classroom team to ensure each child’s needs are met within the framework of the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children, especially those with SEND, is ideal.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and adherence to DBS and reference checks required.
• Ability to work flexibly within the part‑time schedule.
