An ecological consultancy firm is seeking a Seasonal Assistant Ecologist to support protected species surveys from April to October. Ideal candidates are recent graduates or advanced students in ecology with good communication skills and a valid UK driving licence. We are seeking recent graduates and individuals in the upper year(s) of an ecology-related MSc/BSc degree to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis during the busy 2026 ecological survey season (April-October). The role will be central to fulfilling protected species project deliverables in our busy field work schedule. You will possess good personal and time management skills and operate well in an environment of client-led priorities.
We work in sectors including residential, commercial, education and renewable energy developments, transport infrastructure and local development planning. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a budding ecologist looking for hands‑on experience in conducting protected species surveys.
You will be based at our stunning South Downs office location, a 10-minute drive from Brighton, with a lovely bunch of friendly and helpful colleagues.
