The Role: Key Responsibilities and Technology

The Sanitation Worker is a crucial, hands‑on position requiring proficiency in traditional methods and a willingness to utilize our best‑in‑class, tech‑driven solutions. This role directly protects public health and safeguards the environment.

Responsibilities
  • Drain Cleaning & Sewer Maintenance: Performing high‑pressure jetting and utilizing camera‑assisted inspections to clear blockages and eliminate weak spots in pipelines.
  • Cesspit & Septic Tank Maintenance: Pumping, cleaning, building, and repairing cesspits and septic systems.
  • Potable Water Systems: Cleaning and sanitizing large water storage tanks to maximize hygiene for safe drinking water systems.
  • Wastewater Management: Engaging in all tasks related to the safe and efficient movement, containment, and disposal of waste and water.
  • Plumbing Support: Assisting licensed technicians with plumbing repairs, from complex pipe replacements to water leak detection.
  • Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining specialized sanitation vehicles, pumps, and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Discreet Service: Performing all duties with focus on efficiency and minimal disruption to our clients' facilities.
Ideal Candidate: Skills & Experience
Essential Qualifications
  • Physical Fitness: Must be in excellent physical condition to handle heavy lifting, frequent bending, and working in challenging environments (confined spaces, outdoors in all weather).
  • Proven Reliability: A strong work ethic with a demonstrated history of punctuality and dependability.
  • Aptitude for Technology: Eagerness to learn and competently use modern sanitation tools, such as video inspection equipment and leak detection gear.
  • Safety Commitment: A non‑negotiable dedication to all workplace and environmental safety protocols.
  • Team‑Oriented: Ability to communicate clearly, follow detailed instructions, and collaborate effectively within a close‑knit team.
  • Valid Bermuda Driver’s License: Required; experience operating commercial vehicles is a significant asset.
Desirable Experience
  • Prior hands‑on experience in plumbing, civil engineering support, wastewater management, or a utility service role.
  • Familiarity with local Bermuda sanitation standards and regulations.
