This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new role of Safeguarding Adult Practice Lead in Adult Social Care.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for supporting people in Leicester, to live in the place they call home with the people and things that they love, in communities where they look out for one another, doing things that matter to them. You will play a key role in the development of best practice in safeguarding adults in Leicester acting as a lead in this area.
The role is important in improving outcomes for people who have been safeguarded by shaping adult social care practice by using findings from audits, serious case reviews and feedback from people who draw on support to support departmental-wide learning. This is a full-time role with the flexibility in hybrid working being both Office based, at Town Hall or working remotely from home to suit service needs.
Working alongside the Principal Social Worker you will represent the Adult Social Care at multi agency forums, safeguarding forums and develop positive relationships with partners.
Undertaking safeguarding adult practice related audit activity across adult social care working alongside Quality Assurance Practice Manager, to analyse findings and produce reports on what this tells about Safeguarding Practice and make recommendations for area of improvement.
You’ll provide professional challenge, advice, and guidance where appropriate to Team Leaders on safeguarding adult concerns and escalating urgent practice issues to the Principal Social Worker. Contributing to the development of safeguarding adult policies and procedures both local and regional.
Joining a service which focuses on development of best practice in adult social care which includes supporting learning and development across adult social care.
As a highly motivated person who is Registered Social Worker. You’ll have experience of working in a social work team undertaking or managing Safeguarding Adult Enquiries with complexity. You’ll have experience of leading or supporting change/service development projects and be confident in working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and organisations.
Previously, supervising people and helping them to learn and develop. You will have a commitment to strengths based social care practice and the ability to bring our vision and values to life in everyday practice.
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic person to support Adult Social Care’s approach to safeguarding adults learning from feedback, audits, reviews using this to support service developments, policies, procedures, and changes to practice and process.
You will require an enhanced DBS, and the ability to visit locations across Leicester and beyond.
