The job

Carter Jonas are seeking a qualified surveyor to join their growing Rural Estate Management team in Cambridge. You’ll work with the established team along with a national network of surveyors delivering a diverse range of advice across a variety of interesting Estates.

Carter Jonas are open to all different types of experience, whether you are newly qualified or have 20+ years’ experience, there’s a place for you! Pay and packages will be tailored to your experience level.

Not in the rural sector but interested? No problem! Carter Jonas will consider those candidates with management experience outside of the traditional rural sector, including those of a more specialist, or sector focused, background looking to relocate or refocus into rural.

Job duties
  • Management of rural estates primarily across the East Anglia, reporting to senior managers including direct client contact
  • Overseeing day-to-day management to include supervision of Estate contractors, estate employees and dealing with external professionals and other advisors.
  • Providing general professional advice on a variety of topics including Landlord and Tenant matters, agri-environmental schemes and residential management and compliance.
  • Working with the Partners to expand the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Rural sector.
  • Participation in the implementation of our Vision 2030 to grow the business.
What We’re Looking For
  • Ideally you will be a Fellow of the CAAV
  • Ideally you need to be a Chartered Member of the RICS
  • You must have a full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
