A leading ROV service company in Aberdeen is seeking a full-time Onshore ROV Workshop Technician. The role involves servicing and maintaining ROV systems while ensuring compliance with technical requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with previous experience in a related field. We are looking for a full-time Onshore ROV Workshop Technician to join our busy Workshop team, based in our Aberdeen Base.
The Workshop Technician is primarily responsible for the servicing, repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement of various ROV systems, manipulator types, tooling equipment and workshop facilities, Key duties, and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
For this position, it would be optimal that you have previous working knowledge of ROV systems and their capabilities, as well as previous exposure to “service company” culture. Ideally, candidates would have previous experience in a similar role, or be time served in an electrical, mechanical or hydraulic background.
The candidate should be personable and operate well as part of a team. They should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be highly organised and efficient in their work. A person who has a high level of integrity and understands the importance of being customer focussed.
