The Role of the RF Design Engineer

They are seeking a passionate RF Design Engineer to join their Engineering team. In this role, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of RF product development, from requirements gathering through design, testing, and support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in RF engineering within a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment. They are open to an RF Design Engineer with a few years of experience, up to a veteran in RF design.

Responsibilities of the RF Design Engineer
  • Design RF systems, including architecture, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and footprint creation (using Altium).
  • Collaborate with the team on new system scoping and feasibility assessments.
  • Support production and manufacturing processes as needed.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and system issues across various departments.
  • Conduct self‑testing and troubleshooting of your designs.
  • Lead or contribute to design reviews and technical project meetings.
  • Verify designs against specifications and requirements.
  • Create comprehensive design documentation.
Requirements of the RF Design Engineer
  • Experience in RF design or related engineering roles.
  • Familiarity with RF simulation tools, PCB design software, and industry‑standard test equipment.
  • Knowledge of RF components, amplifiers, filters, and antenna design.
  • Experience with analogue and digital electronics and troubleshooting prototypes.
  • Experience with Altium Designer, Cadence AWR Microwave Office, or Ansys HFSS.
  • Knowledge of military or airborne electronic design standards (MIL‑STD, DO160) is a plus.
  • Background in designing for high‑reliability applications.
