Retail Assistant – Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Sweet Briar Retail Park, Norwich. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days per week, including weekends. Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This position may not be suitable for you if you are not available to work at these times.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

• Hours: 8 hours across 2 days per week.
• Pay: £10.10 per hour for ages 16‑20, £12.31 per hour for ages 21+.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy – willing to jump from delivery to till to floor, cleaning and stock rotation, and more.
• Reliable – you will be an important part of a small team that depends on you to do your best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Some flexibility with shifts – when other members take holidays we may need you to cover slightly different hours; rotation is planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are taken into consideration.
