Contract:12-month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) or until return of the postholder

Full time - 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our experienced team at Chippenham Community Hospital. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive multidisciplinary setting and deliver high-quality care across community respiratory services.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver evidence-based respiratory care within an established team.
  • Assess, monitor, and review patients referred for pulmonary rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement patient-centred care plans.
  • Assess suitability for LTOT and ensure appropriate provision.
  • Provide specialist care for COPD and ILD patients.
  • Support Community Pulmonary Rehabilitation, including education and exercise sessions.
  • Promote patient self-management and behaviour change.
  • Communicate complex clinical information clearly to patients, families, and other professionals.
  • Prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and support audit activity.
  • Work collaboratively with community nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adhere to all professional and organisational policies.
