Resource Manager – Eversheds Sutherland

Join to apply for the Resource Manager role at Eversheds Sutherland, a global law firm with over 5,000 people in more than 30 countries. This 12‑month fixed‑term contract will support strategic resourcing across Construction and Real Estate Litigation in the UK and Litigation in the Middle East.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Operations (Litigation), you will be part of the resourcing team, engaging partners, fee earners and Business Professional Leads in Finance, HR and Service Excellence to coordinate resourcing.

Responsibilities include delivering resourcing activities for our Construction and Real Estate Litigation teams in the UK and Litigation in the Middle East, driving strategic objectives for work allocation and resourcing.

Who We Are Looking For
  • An experienced resource professional from a professional services background, typically covering maternity leave.
  • Trusted advisor giving balanced, pragmatic advice on headcount planning and resource management.
  • Negotiator and influencer for senior stakeholders, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Commercial acumen to enhance profitability and client & delivery focus.
Required
  • Feed into the resource management strategy for your practice area.
  • Build relationships and communicate with product group stakeholders and associates.
  • Optimise allocation of work and deployment of lawyers to maximise profitability, offer variety, and improve associate development and wellbeing.
  • Manage complex, cross‑product group/jurisdiction resourcing.
  • Produce and analyse MI to smooth utilisation, strengthen client benches, identify skill gaps and associate development.
  • Engage with product group leaders, team leads and international leads to understand priorities and propose solutions.
  • Share information with the resourcing team in Litigation and the Head of Strategy & Operations.
  • Promote use and improvement of the capacity management system.
