Residential Security Guard (Blackheath SE10)

Residential Static Security Officer (Blackheath SE10) (32hrs/wk) Immediate Start Dates

Job Description

SOS Security is a values-based modern security services company providing static security guarding services at a residential development in South East London.

We are seeking a well-presented, articulate, reliable team player to serve as a static security officer on our contract in South East London, SE10.

Hours of work:

• Monday 21:00 – 05:00
• Tuesday 21:00 – 05:00
• Saturday 21:00 – 05:00
• Sunday 21:00 – 05:00

Total 32 hours per week, on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule.

Pay Rate: £11.95 per hour

Duties include:

• Protection of life: monitoring health and safety compliance, reporting maintenance issues, monitoring alarm systems.
• Protection of property: monitoring alarm systems, ensuring security equipment functions properly, patrolling.
• Preventing loss and waste: conducting searches, safeguarding confidential information, managing electrical and equipment usage.
• Responding to various crime scenarios such as theft, burglary, criminal damage, and breaches of peace.

Requirements:

• Vigilant patrols, reporting suspicious activity, implementing search procedures.
• Monitoring alarms, CCTV, controlling site access.
• Maintaining security equipment, reporting risks, suggesting improvements.
• Customer care skills, in-date SIA license, previous 5-year employment record, right to work in the UK.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or security environments.
• Flexible, motivated team player with good organizational and record-keeping skills.
