Job description

Job Title: Residential Children’s Worker
Location: Warrington
Salary: £26,000 + Sleeps (£32,900 total)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Per Sleep: £50 per sleep
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: YPs with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR Level 3/4 Equivalent And / OR at least 25% completed (Level 3 in Health and Social Care will not be considered)
Experience in Years Required: 1 year in a Ofsted Children's Registered Home (preferred)
Employment Type: Permanent

Driver required: Yes

Candidate will not be considered if they have worked or lived outside of the UK for 3months or more in the last 5 years

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure required
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance required
Desirable Attributes:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation for Children’s Homes
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections
  • Understanding of attachment and trauma in young people
