Job summary

A leading academic institution in Brighton is seeking a part-time Research Assistant on a fixed term contract. You will support a public health intervention project for young women who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). This role involves trial coordination, engaging young participants, and supporting data collection. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and experience in supporting vulnerable individuals, with an understanding of clinical trials. Flexible working options including remote work are available.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting vulnerable young people, either personally or professionally.
• Experience in a research, clinical, or support capacity.
• Understanding of the randomised controlled trial approach.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day trial coordination for the Looking Forward Project.
• Engage with young women to invite consent and perform screening assessments.
• Collect data and report recruitment and assessment figures.

Skills

Good communication and presentation skills
