As a Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse led appointments and will be required to support the Vet with procedures as required ensuring we deliver exceptional care always there to our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Rustington, a welcoming practice located in a charming coastal village just minutes from the beautiful beaches and the South Downs National Park. The practice is well-equipped with everything you need to deliver high-quality nursing care, including two modern consult rooms, a dedicated surgical theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and a fully equipped dental suite. This allows our team to manage a broad and varied caseload, maintaining excellent standards and ensuring each day brings something new to learn and enjoy. We’re looking for a confident and experienced RVN who enjoys all aspects of general practice — from supporting in surgery and diagnostics to client education and inpatient care. You’ll be organised, proactive, and dedicated to providing the very best for your patients, with the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a supportive, friendly team. This is a part-time position (24 hours per week), offering a great work-life balance in a welcoming environment. In this role you will:* Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.* Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.* Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.* Deliver patient monitoring and care.* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.* Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.* Dispense and check medication.* Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.* Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.**Your Skills and Experience:*** RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.* Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.* Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.* Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.* Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.Medivet is a leading veterinary care provider, with practices across the UK including a number of 24-hour veterinary centres and referral centres.
