Location: Bupa Staplehurst Manor Care Home – Frittenden Road, Staplehurst, Maidstone TN12 0DG
Salary: £17.91 – £20.86 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: 12‑hour part‑time night shift per week.
Welcome Bonus: £1,000 and paid breaks.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the well‑being of residents, ensuring physical, emotional and social needs are met.
- Coach and guide the care team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
- Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for each resident.
- Monitor work areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards, policies and legislation.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, managing the unit alongside clinical duties, including overseeing care, administering medication, reviewing and evaluating individual care plans, and providing clinical guidance.
- Previous experience ensuring high clinical standards and complying with policies.
- Confidence in providing clinical guidance for care teams and contributing to CQC tasks.
- Strong communication and reporting skills for effective handover of clinical issues.
- If working at night, demonstrate enhanced skills for patient safety, critical thinking, confidence, autonomy and the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in emergencies.
