A local children's service provider is looking for a Registered Manager for Red Gables, a new short breaks home for children with disabilities in Sunderland. The role involves leading a dedicated team, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and delivering high-quality care that addresses the unique needs of children. Candidates should possess a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, alongside significant management experience in similar settings, with a focus on trauma-informed care. Competitive salary and supportive work environment offered.
Salary: Grade 10: £53,460 - £57,927 per annum
Full-time, with on-call responsibilities as part of a rota. The home is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Red Gables will provide high quality, trauma informed temporary care for children with a range of disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and life limiting conditions.
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead this exciting new service.
As Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the leadership, development, and day-to-day running of Red Gables. You’ll ensure the home meets the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
You’ll lead a dedicated team to deliver personalised, trauma informed care that supports children to thrive. You’ll work closely with families, professionals, and commissioners to ensure every child’s voice is heard and their needs are met.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a new service from the ground up, with the full support of Together for Children’s experienced leadership and infrastructure.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
