A childcare center in Manchester is looking for a passionate Registered ECE Teacher to join their team. This role requires a commitment to nurturing children's growth in a nature-rich, community-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy and reflective thinking, planning learning experiences through Te Whāriki, and fostering strong relationships with tamariki and whānau. Competitive benefits include full pay parity, discounted childcare, and professional development opportunities in a supportive center culture.
Teach in a centre where community is close, children are truly known, and learning is built through play, relationships and real-life experiences. We’re looking for a Registered Teacher to join Busy Bees Manchester Street for 24 hours per week and help tamariki grow in confidence, curiosity and connection.
About us: Busy Bees Manchester Street is a welcoming, close-knit Feilding centre where teachers live locally and whānau feel at home fast. We have separate nursery and preschool spaces, plus shared areas that naturally support tuakana‑teina learning. Our programme is grounded in Te Whāriki and genuine partnership with whānau and community. Learning is hands‑on: tamariki bake, garden, compost and care for living things, building independence, problem solving and early literacy and maths. Sustainability is lived daily, with a worm farm, composting and a local farmer partnership, building on our Enviroschools focus. We’re also working toward the Tohu Manawa Ora | Pā‑Harakeke Healthy Heart Award, with hauora woven through the day. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you’re backed by clear values, strong systems and meaningful PLD, while still enjoying Manchester Street’s community feel.
About you: You are a registered ECE or Primary trained kaiako who brings warmth, energy and reflective thinking to your teaching. You enjoy nature-rich, active environments and know how to turn outdoor exploration into real learning. You are confident planning, assessing and documenting through Te Whāriki and you value tuakana teina, social competence and strong school readiness pathways. You communicate clearly with tamariki, whānau and your team, keep supervision tight and champion inclusive, relationship based practice.
