Shape the Future of Defence FM Operations.**Landmarc Support Services is recruiting an exceptional Regional Operations Manager to lead the delivery of Facilities Management (FM) and operational services across the Scotland & Northern Ireland region, one of the most complex and diverse areas of the Defence Training Estate.This role offers a rare opportunity to drive Hard FM, Soft FM, asset management, and estate operations at scale, while leading a large multi‑disciplinary workforce across dispersed and rural sites. It requires a strong people leader with deep FM experience, excellent commercial awareness, and proven capability in CAFM optimisation, compliance, and operational performance management.As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will contribute to national FM strategy, support business transformation, and ensure operational excellence in partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). **What You’ll Deliver****People & Leadership Excellence*** Provide visible, inclusive leadership across multi‑site FM and operational teams.* Drive a high‑performance culture focused on safety, accountability, and service excellence.* Lead performance management, behavioural standards, wellbeing and professional development.* Empower and develop local leadership teams to deliver Hard FM, Soft FM and reactive maintenance services.**Facilities Management & Operational Delivery*** Take strategic responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of FM services.* Manage Hard FM, Soft FM, reactive maintenance, rural estate management, and operational readiness.* Oversee workforce deployment and logistical planning across dispersed sites and remote environments.* Ensure full compliance with statutory, environmental, H&S and CDM requirements.* Drive service quality through data‑led decision‑making and performance management.**CAFM & Digital Operations*** Maximise the use of CAFM platforms to enhance asset management, work order planning, audit trails, and reporting.* Drive digital transformation initiatives across FM operations, improving efficiency and compliance.* Use analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics to support operational decision‑making.**Commercial & Financial Accountability*** Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance.* Ensure strong cost control, value for money, and contract compliance.* Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, FM innovation, and service improvement.* Contribute to national business planning and FM strategy development.**Stakeholder Engagement*** Act as primary contact for DIO, Defence users, local authorities, and regional stakeholders.* Build trusted relationships and manage expectations while maintaining contractual boundaries.* Represent Landmarc at regional and national forums, presenting performance insights and improvement plans.* Support the delivery of contractual social value commitments through proactive engagement with local communities and voluntary organisations**Strategic Leadership & Change Management*** Play a key role in national alignment, consistency, and Leadership Team collaboration.* Lead change programmes, FM transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement.* Oversee mobilisation of new services, project works, contract variations, and estate enhancements.**About You****Knowledge & Experience*** Strong background in Facilities Management, including Hard FM, Soft FM, and reactive services.* Proven experience leading multi‑site or geographically dispersed FM operations.* Skilled in the use and optimisation of CAFM systems for compliance, asset management and reporting.* Excellent understanding of H&S, statutory compliance, CDM regulations and environmental standards.* Experienced in managing multi‑million‑pound FM contracts and regional budgets.* Exposure to public sector, Defence, rural estates, or complex infrastructure environments is desirable.* IOSH Managing Safely essential; NEBOSH General preferred.* Professional membership (IWFM, CMI, APM) desirable. **Prerequisites*** Full UK driving licence (extensive travel required).* BPSS clearance required; NSV/SC may be needed.* Minimum 5 years UK residency.**\*Please note that all interview-related correspondence will be sent via email.
