Regional IT & Systems Partner (Midlands) - Group Support

Spaghetti Bridge is an independent group of specialist schools. We are passionate about providing young people who experience barriers to learning with a dynamic and outcome focused education.

Due to growth we are expanding our IT Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group along with fantastic opportunities for professional development.

Location: This is a remote/hybrid role, based primarily in the Midlands, with regular travel to company services (including occasional overnight stays). The postholder will be required to have a level of flexibility to work across the wider group as required.

The Regional IT and Systems Partner is responsible for ensuring that each school within our group maintains a well-defined, fully operational IT environment that meets expected performance standards.

The post-holder will split their focus between managing their designated region and providing strategic support to new regions, ensuring consistent IT standards are established and maintained across all sites in the group. This dual responsibility includes establishing IT operational frameworks in new regions whilst ensuring on-site IT infrastructure operates effectively and users are competent in utilising available technology to support educational objectives.

The post-holder will conduct regular assessments of IT environments, identify gaps between current and expected performance levels, and implement solutions to achieve operational excellence. They will work closely with on-site personnel, other Regional Leads, and school leadership to ensure technology supports rather than hinders educational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Regional Coordination

• Have shared responsibility for establishing IT frameworks and standards in new regions, ensuring rapid deployment of effective systems
• Coordinate with other Regional IT and System Partners to ensure consistent approaches and knowledge sharing across all regions
• Escalate complex regional issues to the Group Head of IT and Systems and provide specialist intervention when standard regional support is insufficient

IT Environment Assessment & Standards

• Conduct regular audits of IT infrastructure, systems, and processes across designated region and new regions to ensure compliance with established standards
• Develop and maintain comprehensive IT operational standards and best practices for consistent deployment across all sites, with particular focus on new region implementation
• Create and implement performance metrics and monitoring systems to track IT effectiveness and user satisfaction across multiple regions
• Establish baseline requirements for hardware, software, network performance, and security protocols

Operational Support & Problem Resolution

• Work directly with on-site personnel to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues that impact school operations
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to local staff to build capability and ensure consistent service delivery
• Coordinate with the Group Head of IT to prioritise and manage resource allocation for infrastructure improvements
• Establish escalation procedures and response protocols for critical IT incidents

User Competency & Support

• Assess staff technology proficiency levels and develop targeted interventions to address skill gaps
• Design and deliver focused training programs that enable effective use of educational technology and business systems
• Liaise with relevant colleagues and the Learning & Development Committee to create Bridge Academy resources in relation to it and systems
• Create user support resources and documentation tailored to specific school environments and user needs
• Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously improve user experience and system effectiveness

Strategic Implementation & Change Management

• Support the rollout of new technology initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and integration at each site
• Collaborate with school leadership to align IT capabilities with educational goals and operational requirements
• Manage change processes to minimise disruption whilst maximising the benefits of technology improvements
• Participate in strategic planning to ensure IT infrastructure supports long‑term educational objectives

Relationship Management & Communication

• Build strong working relationships with school leadership, personnel, and key stakeholders across designated and new regions
• Provide regular reporting on IT performance, issues, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership, including progress updates on new region implementations
• Act as liaison between schools and central IT and Systems team to ensure effective communication and resource coordination
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice exchange between IT and Systems team and school personnel

The successful candidate should have experience with:

• Planning, design, co‑ordination and delivery of training programmes to adults, that meet learning outcomes for different learning styles
• Liaising with relevant personnel at all levels within internal services
• Developing e‑Learning programmes
• Creating, editing, and hosting videos
• Developing and delivering training in relation to business systems
• Maintaining documentation/data sets used for training
• Delivering training on Google workspace applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Experience of working within a school environment and our statutory frameworks would be an advantage, but is not essential.
