Role Summary And Impact

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Snr Client Director. This is a full‑time position based in London. The role will report to the Regional Client Lead and will manage a Regional Account Management team of five. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP’s mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best‑in‑class service for Amazon Cross‑Channel, Cross‑Category Marketing (XCM) & Consumer Devices & Services (CDS) across 12 countries in Europe.

Amazon XCM consists of two big rocks – Retail, which is Amazon’s core business of selling products to customers, and Prime, the subscription service offering fast shipping and exclusive member benefits. CDS is an Amazon Line of Business, which sits closely to XCM. Within CDS are the following sub‑lines of business: Alexa, Fire TV, Fresh, Kindle, Music, Lockers, and more.

As the voice of the client across the agency, we’re focused on ensuring our clients have their best agency experience during their time with OpenDoor.

Responsibilities
  • Understand all the elements of a client’s business and how we can support their growth.
  • Have a full understanding of the SOW and understand how OpenDoor can add value through the engagement of specialist services.
  • Understand the core client KPIs and always look for opportunities for OpenDoor to support and deliver against them.
  • Full knowledge of the overall plan and support the internal teams and client as required in its delivery.
  • Ensure teams collaborate and always champion unrivalled work for our clients.
  • Have strong commercial knowledge and ensure smooth and accurate financial interactions with the client (POs, etc.).
  • Have full oversight of all financial elements of the client relationship and work quickly to resolve problems – seeking support to resolve quickly and accurately.
  • A strong working relationship with the agency’s commercial team and an appreciation of financial data sensitivity.
  • Ensure that EU and local teams fully understand what is required of them and guide them to follow all of the necessary processes.
  • Accountable for the strategic responses of day‑to‑day client requests, working with clients, markets and internal teams.
  • Oversee and quality control the deliverables for our central team and local teams.
  • Own the day‑to‑day and, where applicable, senior client relationships and look for opportunities to broaden our relationship beyond marketing.
  • Foster innovative thinking and ideas with particular emphasis on content, digital and technology innovation, and the use of data.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of client commercials including the agreed client scope, use of resources and any KPI deliverables.
  • Act as a change agent by positively provoking our client and internal teams to deliver the best possible outcomes and showcase great work and help us to drive transformation across the business.
  • Drive and ambition to support new business efforts.
  • Assist in the development and execution of data‑driven marketing campaigns across the Amazon business, bridging Amazon and WPP technologies and capabilities as required.
  • Utilise WPP Open and other cutting‑ tools to standardise best in class planning, ensure leading organisation and track campaign performance / identification of optimisation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with WPP (media and beyond) and Amazon team members to ensure seamless campaign delivery and achieve outstanding results.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies and approaches to marketing challenges.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, particularly in the areas of e‑commerce and digital marketing.

  • Successful E2E management of Multi‑Market campaigns (brief, RTB, execution and reporting).

  • Contribute to the growth of global net sales.

  • Familiarity with Amazon’s way of working (e.g. narratives over PowerPoint) and their leadership principles.
