Job description

We are looking for an organised and detail orientated individual to join the team at Malet Lambert Schoolas a Receptionist who will ensure the smooth running of the reception area by welcoming visitors both in person and on the telephone. To answer or refer enquiries. To safeguard staff and pupils by following school procedures in relation to DBS checks and providing the relevant visitor badges. To ensure administration tasks are completed to an appropriate standard for our School.

The working hours are from 8:00am to 16:30pm Monday and Wednesday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 32 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside your normal working hours. Your actual salary will be £9,447.22 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. What are we looking for?

We are looking for an individual who has

  • GCSE grade C or above in English or Maths or Equivalent administrative qualifications (e.g. NVQ Business Admin / Customer Service.)
  • A good working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working on a busy reception
