Job Description

Valeo Foods in Norwich has a new role for a Raw Materials Buying Planner. The role works alongside the Factory General Manager, Manufacturing Manager and Site Operations Teams to oversee strategic material planning processes, ensuring operational and production continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule and raise all Packaging/Raw Materials and Tanker orders against the forecast numbers issued weekly.
  • Monitor all promotions and events within the forecast to ensure packaging availability for launch dates.
  • Order new materials/redesigns within required timescales.
  • Order packaging from the warehouse for upcoming days’ plans and send picking lists to the warehouse.
  • Check all packaging stock for the next two weeks of plans.
  • Challenge Purchasing on stock holdings and minimum order quantities.
  • Support company systems including BRC, HACCP and CCP adherence throughout the site.
  • Prepare required material information for IBP meetings as needed.
  • Monitor material stock and ensure it stays within policy levels.
  • Complete activity notes for packaging.
  • Investigate and resolve all material variances and transactions (works orders, scanning errors, BOMS).
  • Cover for the Site Scheduler in their absence.
  • Control daily, weekly and monthly stock takes for the factory.
