  • Role: Kinship Social Worker
  • Location: Bolton (Hybrid – office presence & community visits required)
  • Pay: £37.00 ph
  • Contract: Full-time
About the role

We are seeking a committed and experienced Kinship Social Worker to join our busy and supportive Kinship Team in Bolton. You will play a key role in delivering an effective and efficient social work service, focusing on the assessment, training, supervision, and support of Kinship Carers and Special Guardians to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake robust assessments of Kinship Carers and Special Guardians.
  • Complete annual reviews and other required reviews to evaluate and monitor the care of looked-after children.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and support to ensure children receive high-quality care.
  • Identify and arrange training, preparation, and support to help carers develop their skills.
  • Work closely with colleagues to support the placement of children with Kinship carers and substitute families.
  • Attend reviews, case conferences, strategy meetings, and network meetings, offering professional advice and support.
  • Organise and maintain a Kinship fostering information and advisory service for colleagues and the public.
