Job description
Overview

This is a vitally important role to the commercial success of the business. You will oversee all procurement for the business, finding best value and working with departmental heads to assist with completion of their projects. You will also oversee the small fleet ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

Reporting To
  • Commercial Manager
Responsibilities
  • Confirmation of Supplier / Quotes
  • Order equipment & materials required as specified
  • Ensure deliveries are received on time to meet planned programme of works
  • Receive, check, and record receipt of materials, sign off or arrange return of faulty goods
  • Allocate equipment & materials as per project requirements
  • Record unused/additional materials utilised per project
  • Process goods returned on ‘Non-Conformance Reports’
  • Stock control including quarterly stock-takes
  • Manage and monitor van stock
Equipment, Calibration and Safety
  • Ensure all tools are calibrated and records are held for inspection
  • Safety equipment is tested and kept in good order
  • Keep a full record of all company equipment
  • Tools & Equipment checks issued & log results
Vehicle Fleet
  • Ensure all vehicles are in good order
  • Manage monthly checks and action repairs as required
  • Service schedules are maintained and kept up to date
  • Order fire extinguishers for vehicles
  • Oversee Monaghan’s – MOT & CVRT requirements fulfilled
  • Vehicle tax management
Additional Responsibilities
  • Attend and contribute to meetings where relevant

Salary

£28,000 – £33,000 depending on experience
