A local government agency in Greater London is seeking a Public Health Lead to develop and coordinate initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes in the communities of Richmond and Wandsworth. This permanent full-time position requires a higher degree in public health, substantial experience in public health practice, and exceptional communication skills. The London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth presents a unique opportunity to be part of a welcoming, multi-disciplinary Public Health Division with a strong culture of supporting staff development.
We are recruiting a highly motivated, outcome-focused, and enthusiastic individual to join our team to achieve the best health outcomes for our residents of Richmond and Wandsworth.This is a permanent Public Health Lead role in the Adults and Older People, Prevention and Healthcare Public Health’s Team.You will develop and coordinate public health programmes that promote healthy eating, nutrition, healthy weight, and prevention of long-term conditions.The role ensures evidence-based interventions are implemented to improve population health outcomes and reduce health inequalities across a diverse population of more than half a million people in South- West London.
The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship building and influencing skills, developing evidence based actions, be comfortable working with external and internal partners/stakeholders, and be passionate about improving outcomes for different communities.
