Role Responsibilities

You will lead the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects from conception through to completion, ensuring work meets project requirements, achieves customer satisfaction, upholds SHEQ standards, and aligns with Morgan Sindall. More specifically, you will:

• Deliver projects to agreed scope, cost, quality, programme, and completion standards.
• Lead design, engineering, construction, handover, and commercial activities.
• Manage risk and value engineering processes, addressing risks and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Provide clear communication, leadership, and motivation across all project teams.
• Oversee all SHEQ requirements and champion continuous improvement.
• Advise on project planning and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and communicate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with Morgan Sindall processes, statutory requirements, and project controls.
• Manage project costs, resources, and performance documentation (WPPs, SMOWS, H&S plans).
• Support business plan delivery, performance monitoring, and identification of growth opportunities.
• Lead and develop project staff, addressing performance issues where required.

About the Water|Highways Business Unit

Our Water team designs, builds, and maintains vital UK water infrastructure, ensuring secure water supply and wastewater services.

We work with major water companies to create resilient facilities, reduce flood risks, and improve environmental outcomes. Currently, we participate in the Welsh Water AMP7 and AMP8 frameworks and have secured projects with Wessex Water for the next five years. These long-term framework agreements are part of a national £88 billion investment, requiring a collaborative and agile approach to meet the industry\'s challenges.
