The Role

Location: London (2-3 days in the office)

We are looking for a Project Coordinator* to join the Property Development team. The Coordinator role is responsible for the weekly tracking and reporting of all gym development projects. These will include new gyms being added to our portfolio, any refurbishments, additional equipment, and new products or offerings. Any property change - big or small - in any of our markets will be known to the Coordinator.

In addition, they will contribute to the wider Development team in developing a culture of best practice and continuous improvement.

*Internally this role is called Pipeline Coordinator.

Key duties will include:

  • Ownership of the monitoring and reporting of all aspects of a project lifecycle, across our portfolio of Property development projects in all our markets (UK, Denmark, Switzerland and the US).
  • Ensure all projects are effectively tracked through a weekly governance cycle and stakeholders are regularly informed of progress.
  • Chair weekly meetings to inform senior stakeholders of state of play in their market, and any deviations from previous week.
  • Minute Capital Expenditure Committee meetings and ensure transparency of decisions made and successful closure of actions.
  • Understand the required governance within development projects and ensuring all of these are adhered to.
  • Maintain a reporting suite to better inform the wider business of current Development project statuses.
  • Keep the business informed on forecasted critical milestones.
  • Input forecasted delivery dates into Group quarterly budget cycles.
The Person

This is a very exciting role, and an important one. The Coordinator manages the tracker, which is the single source of truth for all Property projects happening right across our fast-growing and fast-moving business. This role is coma responsible for updating하여 and chairing meetings with senior stakeholders, including the MDs for each market, so it’s imperative that our chosen candidate is super confident, a great communicator, and willing to be the centre for all information requests relating to Property Development.

To make a success of this position, it’s important the candidate has a strong working understanding of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, and can navigate reporting with ease. They will be proactive, resourceful, hands on, adaptable, willing to learn and able to react quickly for when short turnarounds are required.

  • An absolute excellent communicator, confident managing conversations with very senior stakeholders.
  • Work experience in an office environment, with exposure to project coordination and understanding of a project lifecycle, particularly within Excel.
  • Experience working in or with large scale organisations in customer facing industries (such as leisure, retail, hospitality, or retail banking).
  • Can demonstrate a track record of continual professional and personal development e.g. degree educated. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and asks the right questions.
  • Member focused, always striving to improve the experience for all members through own area or working across the business.
  • Able to work cross-functionally, to bring together all parts of the business to deliver the right outcome for members and PureGym.
  • Keen interest in property development, alongside a passion or interest in fitness and leisure.
