The role

As a Production Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll lead and motivate teams to deliver complex shipbuilding projects safely, on time, and within budget. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on national defence while advancing your career in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Managing front‑line managers and driving daily business performance
  • Chairing planning meetings with stakeholders to align priorities
  • Reviewing and adjusting build plans to meet delivery targets
  • Overseeing volumetrics throughout the build programme
  • Collaborating with subcontract managers to mitigate downtime

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience of the Production Manager
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding processes
  • Ability to interpret shipbuilding, piping, and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with zone working and modern outfitting methods
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project scheduling
Qualifications for the Production Manager
  • Time‑served trade background
  • ONC/HNC preferred but not essential
