Job description

We are a long established B2 litho and digital print company based in Sandbach, Cheshire, looking to recruit an experienced pre‑press/digital press operator to join our team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Working in our reprographics department you will be responsible for all aspects of artwork preparation using Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and Acrobat to check, prepare and adjust problematic artwork to produce print ready files. Creating PDF or paper proofs, generating impositions, plate‑making and digital printing on our Heidelberg Versafire EV digital press through our Heidelberg Printect (CTP) computer to plate work‑flow. (Experience desirable but training will be given)

Key Abilities:

• Reviewing supplied customer artwork for print compatibility
• Liaising with the Sales team and customers to understand artwork requirements
• Proofing artwork to customers
• High computer literacy levels (both Windows and Mac advantageous)
• Enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn and develop
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment whilst adhering to deadlines and still maintaining standards set within the business.
• Well organised with ability to manage and prioritise workload
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to get involved and work as part of a team
