As our practice continues to grow, we’re now looking for a caring, supportive and experienced Practice Manager to join our team and help shape the next chapter of our story.

This is a site-based, people-facing leadership role, perfect for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, supporting others to succeed, and making a real difference to both team and client experience.

This role is available for up to 40 hours per week, typically worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday. However, we are very open to discussing flexible/reduced hours or fewer days for the right person.

Set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, Beaconsfield offers the perfect blend of countryside living and city convenience. With fantastic shops, cafés and direct trains to London in under 30 minutes, it’s an ideal place to live, work and unwind.

Inside the practice, you’ll find a welcoming and collaborative team of vets, nurses, animal care assistants and receptionists who genuinely enjoy working together. Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Director of Practice and Clinical Services, Lead Vet, Head Receptionist, and IVC Central Support teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the practice while enhancing both team and client experience. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading, supporting, and motivating the practice team to foster a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Maintaining practice standards and ensuring compliance with RCVS guidelines
  • Financial management, including: Managing a practice budget, Stock control, Initiating capital expenditure requests, Supporting payroll production and queries
  • Human Resources responsibilities, including: Line management and Appraisals
  • Oversight of building and equipment maintenance
  • Ensuring Health & Safety compliance with team support
  • Recruitment and monitoring of mandatory and ongoing training compliance
  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries (with support from a central IT function)
  • Handling and resolving client complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Attending and leading practice and area meetings
