At Allied Vehicles we design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of specialist vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles, taxis, and minibuses.

In addition to manufacturing vehicles, we also offer a range of aftersales services (onsite and mobile), including servicing, repairs and maintenance and we are Scotland’s largest independent parts distributor.

We are now recruiting for a nightshift Powder Coater to join our Pre-Production department.

You will be responsible for applying powder coat material to specification and locations as per Engineering drawings, always ensuring to highest quality standard for Allied production requirements.

Hours of work are Monday to Wednesday, 9pm – 7am and Thursday 8pm – 6am and the salary is £18.26 per hour + bonus.

The main duties of the role are:
  • Complete and adhere to departmental induction instructions.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with relevant safe systems of work.
  • Adhere to job cards and complete all work in accordance with information provided, paying attention to the order of work and the time allowed.
  • Strive to complete all work in accordance with standard allowed times and report any delays to Supervisor.
  • Comply with quality control systems, methods and documentation.
  • Complete a daily time sheet recording all requested information.
To be effective in this role, you will have:
  • Understanding of powder coat methods and application techniques.
  • Strict attention to detail to replicate Engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience of operating powder coat equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Previous experience of general mechanical assembly tasks would be advantageous but is not essential.
