We're now recruiting for a Post Room Operative to join us at Embassy Gardens.

What you should know

Ballymore is a family owned business, with over 40 years in establishment – we are remarked as an innovative and dynamic property developer citing over80 awards. At present, we're managing 11,000 homes across 12 luxury residential developments in London and are in search of a Post Room Operative to join us at Embassy Gardens in contributing to our vision.

Important to note

Hours: Early - 8:00 - 17:30 & Late - 11:30 - 21:00

Shift Pattern: Rota across Monday to Saturday

Contract: 42 hpw/permanent

What you'll do
  • To ensure that all delivery/dispatch requests and enquiries (both in person, via email and by telephone) are dealt with efficiently in a timely and professional manner adhering to the relevant process and movement log sheet on every occasion.
  • To implement Health & Safety for loading bay operations, adhering to current standard operating procedures and legislation.
  • To ensure the loading bay is secured at all times with any unauthorized access challenged & dealt with in an appropriate manner.
  • To liaise with the Shift Manager and FCC/Concierge at all times in relation to requests for deliveries to & from the site via the loading bay and advising on available windows for deliveries/dispatches.
  • To ensure that all deliveries/dispatches are carried out in a timely and professional manner at all times.
  • To be a part of the Estates Team maintaining the policies, company rules and quality of Ballymore Asset Management Ltd.
  • To carry out regular checks to ensure the loading bay area is kept in a clean, safe and free from hazard environment. Any fluid spills are to be attended to immediately.
  • To ensure all hazardous deliveries, such as chemicals for plant rooms, are dealt with as detailed in the specified SOP/local instruction. In any case where there is a high risk due to the nature of the delivery – the Facilities Manager/DSOM is to be notified for guidance/assistance. – DSOM Position no longer in existence.
  • To ensure that the ‘No Smoking’ policy is adhered to at all times, (especially delivery drivers). No food or drink is to be consumed in or around the loading bay.
  • Help residents with parcels if needed.
  • Help cover concierge breaks if needed.
  • Able to give full audit of Parcels monthly.
  • Build a positive relationship with courier companies.
What you'll need to be successful
  • Experience in a residential post room/loading bay environment will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Have a positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated outlook, with high levels of customer service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working as part of a team.
