In addition, Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care, a hospice residence, and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Through this comprehensive network, the organization serves more than 15,000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene. The PSW will support the clients' physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization's resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents' rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.**Qualifications*** Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent* Experience in long term care setting an asset* Current CPR Certificate* Registration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.* Resident-centred care focus with strong customer service and interpersonal skills* Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and time manage* Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player* Behavioural management training (Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), U-First, CPI) an asset* Computer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office). Basic knowledge of Workday an asset.* Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset**Additional Information** Working Conditions:* Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending* Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact.* Ability to work **evening** shifts, including weekends and short shifts.
