A personal assistance service in Bexhill-on-Sea seeks Personal Assistants to provide care for a young adult with complex needs. The role requires working alongside another PA, assisting with personal care, and ensuring the individual enjoys daily activities. Flexibility for coverage and a warm approach are essential. The position offers £14.40 per hour, with full training provided.
Initially looking to fill shifts: 1 Saturday per month (9:00‑17:00) and 3 or 4 Sunday evenings per month (17:00‑20:30). Flexibility to cover holiday, sickness and other shifts as required.
I’m looking to grow my 21‑year old son’s small team of PAs. He has complex needs and is a gentle, loving soul who thrives on warmth, connection and having people around who truly “get” him. He loves music, sensory lights, trips out, and walks along the seafront.
This is 2:1 care, so you’ll always be working alongside another PA as you get to know him, support his personal care and mobility needs, and help enrich his daily life with activities he enjoys.
Full paid training and DBS provided. Initially hours will be Sundays 17:00–20:30 and one Saturday a month 9:00–17:00. In time there will be the option to take on more hours. Flexibility on both sides is key to this role.
Non‑smoker due to medical reasons; vulnerability to the risk of infection and disease transmission.
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
If you are successful, you will either be engaged directly or employed by the individual employer. The role may be offered on an employed or self‑employed basis, depending on suitability and agreement. If employed, you will be entitled to holiday pay and an employment contract.
Hourly pay rate: £14.40.
